Rather than be primarily concerned with protecting the county by upholding state law, it is primarily concerned with our ability to file suit. So, all of a sudden morality and justice is determined by an individuals ability to file suit.
This letter equates to, they violated the law, lied to ensure you can't do anything about it, and since you can't do anything, we don't have to respect your rights.
It does more to protect the individuals who are violating state law, than protect the county or be concerned with upholding state law. We have long suspected the involvement of an attorney in what has happened to us. Would not representing individuals who intend to violate county law, while representing the county present an obvious conflict of interest?
